New eResearch Environment Will Accelerate and Strengthen Critical Funding Efforts and Compliance Oversight
BEAVERTON, OR, September 29, 2009 – Click Commerce announced today that Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) will use Click Commerce’s eResearch Portal software to fully automate research grants funding proposal creation and submission, post-award grants management, Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and Conflict of Interest (COI) management processes.
Click Commerce’s eResearch Portal provides a common platform for delivering a wide variety of research administration and compliance solutions that can be configured to match an institution’s forms and organizational workflow. LBNL is taking advantage of the Portal’s flexibility to integrate and accelerate processes that often overlap and feed data into each other, thereby eliminating hours of administrative work throughout the research enterprise. For example, LBNL will be able to integrate IRB workflow processes and grants system processes. In addition, Click Commerce Web Services will enable safe data transfer between eResearch Portal applications and LBNL business systems. Click Commerce Professional Services will provide tools, training, and best practices to ensure the new system conforms to LBNL’s research environment.
